| Light Box | Eva Schlegel’s art project, which evolved from an international competition in 2000, symbolically signifies the entrance of the Museum of Modern Art on the city level of Salzburg. Two backlit glass tableaus framed in stainless steel impact the public space of the city. The blurry screen prints on two spatially staggered glass layers are iconographically read as a text emptied of any information. Through the trompe l’oeuil effect, the visitor recognizes the reputed oversized billboard as an artistic intervention and thus as a reference to the museum.
